Building a Team Culture of Imagination & Creativity:
Retreats & Workshops

“We may not be able to predict the future, but by acting on the ideas produced in our imagination, we can help to create it.” ~Sir Ken Robinson

In this era of AI and hyper-efficiency, our ability to think big and imagine greatness is rapidly diminishing—whether for the next big project or evolving how to work best. Too many teams not only lack the time and space to think creatively, but often forget how when the opportunity arises. We also often confuse what creativity is, calling things creative that are mere execution and blowing by creative problem-solving when our organizations’ need it most.

Individuals, teams and companies thrive when people, culture and imagination are put first—and thriving teams are efficient teams. Let’s not sit back and watch creativity, humanity’s greatest natural resource, fade before our eyes.

How will we enable impactful, strategic creativitiy for our teams?

I’m starting by facilitating an in-person day-long retreat in a beautiful space in the Bay Area (more cities to come), a virtual cohort and team-specific off-sites. In each, small groups of ~10-12 creative leaders will have the time and space to imagine, discuss, reflect and collaborate on how and why creativity and big picture thinking can be nurtured and enabled for yourselves and your teams.

Express interest here.

We’ll explore:

  • How and why to create a yes-first culture of imagination and creativity;

  • Approaches and processes that enhance creative thinking;

  • Differentiating what needs creative thinking;

  • How personal creative practices overlap with and positively impact work;

  • Practical ideas to take back to your teams.

Who this for (initially):

  • Anyone on a team in a creative industry who manages people and/or leads projects or ideation.

Would you like to infuse more imagination and creative thinking into your team culture? Do you feel like your team is focusing too much on tools to solve problems instead of people? Are you intrigued, but wonder how you’ll find the time or make the case for it?
